Home: The Exterior
Hey there! Okay I know it's been forever since I've done anything with this poor blog. I've had every intention of updating you with posts about the little ones, our big move to Atlanta, and our home renovations. But...life. I don't want to ramble on with excuses for my absence. Instead I'm just going to jump right back in to things and show you a little of what we've done around our home.
I'm starting with the exterior because we recently had it painted and it's one of the biggest changes we've made. So here she is before we touched her, in all her 1980s colonial glory...
I took these photos the day we closed. We're very fortunate that the previous owner had a new roof put on and a new driveway poured right before we purchased the house.
We both love painted brick homes so we knew that eventually we would probably paint ours. This past spring we were finally ready to hire someone for the job. After much debate about whether we should go with white or grey, we finally settled on white.
The paint color is Mountain Summit by Behr. Isn't she pretty!
We feel like we have a completely different house! It's so fresh and bright. I have to admit that I was a little nervous about the whole thing before we started. Since our home sits on a corner of the first intersection in our neighborhood, I felt like we weren't just changing the paint color but also changing the look of the entire neighborhood. That may seem a bit dramatic, but really just about everyone entering or leaving our neighborhood has to pass by our home. Of course now I couldn't be happier with our decision.
On a side note, I'm certain my husband spent zero seconds thinking about what or neighbors might think. :)
Anyway, I am so excited for all the plans we have for our home and I can't wait to show you the other projects we've tackled so far!
