Life has not slowed down in the least for us. During the past few days, Brinkley started preschool, Greyson and I started a Mommy & Me class, and Kinley started ballet AND gymnastics.
I've tried to keep this little guy entertained while big sister and big brother are busy in school...I've known for weeks that these first few days of school would be hectic as we adjusted to our new schedule. I spent the summer trying to prepare, but there's nothing like actually living it. Throw in all the necessary errands that I have to run just to keep our little nest going, and we have officially been busy!
I mentioned in the last post that I am joining The Junior League of Philadelphia. I attended a brunch and my first meeting last week! I've been looking forward to joining this organization, not just because of the possibility of making new friends in a place where I know absolutely no one, but also because I see this as a great way to learn more about the Philadelphia area. And, honestly, I just need something for ME. I devote most of my time and energy to my family, which I don't mind at all. I could not imagine doing anything else right now other than being a stay-at-home mommy. BUT...it sure is nice to be able to get away for a couple of hours every so often.
One last thing...I recently read this blog post about race from Kylie on her blog, Living on a Lightstand. I love finding and connecting with other bloggers who are passionate about their faith and don't mind sharing it with the world! Kylie is one such blogger. Her post was deep, and really made me think about whether I'm doing all I can to make sure my children are accepting of ALL the beautiful people our God has created in this world. I could go on and on about her heartwarming blog, but I'd rather you read it for yourself. So go check it out and tell me what you think!
