Hello all! I've been knee-deep in Easter crafts and other projects around our home, so I've been a little busy. I hope to post about all that this week. For now, here are a few random pics I snapped while trying out my new camera. Oh yeah, I got a new camera (yippeeee!).
- Here's Greyson after breakfast one morning. I think this was one of the first pics I took with the new camera.- You probably saw in the previous post that Travis's birthday was last week. Well, here's a close-up of his present. Not too fancy, but I thought it turned out cute and I only paid one dollar for the wrapping paper (from Target). The yarn and hemp cord were left over from other projects.
- I bought Kinley her first science kit. She loves it. Future scientist???
- We've been painting a lot around here since I figured out how to make my own paint. (See how I did it here). Consequently, there have been lots of wonderful, colorful little messes in the kitchen.
-Kinley loves to read. So much so that she recently decided she wanted to read her own book to herself after I've read her bedtime story at night. Wonderful idea! I love the fact that she loves books just as much as I did when I was a little girl. But I knew I needed to find her a bedside lamp that she could turn on/off without getting out of bed. I found this flower-shaped wall lamp at Ikea last week and thought it might be perfect.
You can't tell in this picture, but the lamp is really cute. It's pink (hence the pinkish glow) with a green cord, so it actually looks like a flower. She loves it and, so far, does a great job turning off the lamp once she feels herself getting sleepy.
-And here are a few shots from today. My three peas in a pod + Daddy...
All ready for church this morning!
As I said, hopefully (fingers crossed) I'll find the time this week to show you all the projects we've
completed started around here.
Take care and Happy Easter!
