Highlights from the week...

For us, this week was our first full week of summer.  We did a little of everything...

Kinley and Brinkley started camp at the local My Gym...
during which time I was able to take Greyson to the library for story time.  This was a first for him.  We haven't been able to do it since he's been born because, honestly, its just difficult with my three....and by three I mean Brinkley :)  I used to take Kinley all the time and even managed to take Brinkley before he started walking.
Anyhow, I think Greyson enjoyed it!  He seemed really interested....
and eventually wanted to get down on the floor with the other kids.  Notice the piece of orange, crumpled paper in his hand.  It's the cute little name tag the storyteller made for each child.  He refused to keep it on.  Well, I'm glad that now I have something for him to do while the other two are away.

Earlier in the week, we worked on a couple of art projects...
but by far, the activity the little ones seemed to love the most was play time on the porch.  They always enjoy being outside, but this time I let them draw on the porch floor with their sidewalk chalk. They loved it, despite being covered in chalk dust by the time we finished.  Even Greyson got in on the action.  We immediately went in for baths afterwards, which didn't seem to bother them one bit.

one more thing...look what I discovered when I went to water one of my ferns hanging on the porch
a sweet little bird's nest!!!  We've seen the birds flying around our porch for the past several days but I didn't think much of it.  Now I know why.  I wish I could have taken a better picture of the little eggs.  They're the prettiest shade of pale blue.  Just another of God's amazing wonders!  I'm not sure how to proceed with watering the plant though.  I certainly don't want to harm the nest or upset the mommy bird.  I think I'll just leave it alone for now.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
